sir,

2007 DEC 19

I was on the Hong Kong Police Force for 24 years, and retired

with the rank of Chief Inspector on the 1st December, 1915 with

a pension of £/55.17.9. per annum.

This pension being now less than half its value, and I having

had a lot of sickness in my family during the year,

Doctor fees,

Medicines, high cost of living, and Income Tax to pay. I find

I will be unable to meet my expenses at the end of the current

year.

Having been informed that several of the Hong Kong Police Pensioners have been granted an increase to their pension. I most

respectfully beg to ask if you could see your opportunity to

grant me an increase to my pension.

Trusting Sir, you will give this application your most

favourable consideration, and grant me an early reply.

30-194—

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

Bourlay
